How the gold value calculator works

The calculator uses the details you provide about total weight, non-gold material, hallmark status and purity together with the latest updated reference gold rate. Stones, Meena, thread and fittings can add weight without adding to net gold weight.

The result is an indicative range. A final physical valuation requires inspection, purity testing and precise confirmation of net gold weight at CMG.

Illustrative example only — not a live valuation

If a 20 gram item includes an estimated 2 grams of non-gold material, its estimated net gold weight is 18 grams. The relevant purity and current reference rate are then used to prepare an indicative estimate. Actual purity and net weight must still be verified in person.
